Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The event was organized in cooperation with the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the Center for Green Economy Projects under the Ministry, Expertise France, and experts from Citepa.
 

The primary objective of the event was to officially present the National Transparency System online platform to national stakeholders, demonstrate its functional capabilities, and build the necessary practical skills for its effective use.
 

This platform serves to digitize the processes of collecting, systematizing, managing, and reporting data on Uzbekistan's climate commitments within the framework of the Enhanced Transparency Framework (ETF).
 

During the seminars and training sessions, participants were introduced to the platform's architecture, main functional modules, and operational mechanisms. In particular, practical exercises covered the greenhouse gas inventory module, the climate change mitigation module, data entry and management, calculations, data export, and report generation capabilities.
 

During the event, special attention was paid to integrating the platform into the preparation process for Uzbekistan’s next Biennial Transparency Report (BTR 2). Using the platform will allow for a more systematic and efficient organization of the BTR preparation process, including the National Greenhouse Gas Inventory, as well as related data management and reporting.
 

At the conclusion of the seminar-trainings, the National Transparency System online platform was officially handed over to national stakeholders and launched for practical use.
