Prospective Areas of Cooperation between Uzbekistan and the Asian Development Bank Discussed

The meeting was attended by Mirzo Iskandar Gulamov, Head of Country Operations at ADB, Shrinivas Sampat, Director for Water Supply and Urban Development, as well as other representatives of the Bank.
During the meeting, the financing arrangements for the “Development of Climate-Resilient Water Supply and Wastewater Systems” project, planned for implementation with the participation of the Asian Development Bank, were discussed. The project envisages the development of water supply and wastewater services in the Andijan and Fergana regions and the Republic of Karakalpakstan.
The meeting provided an opportunity to explore new avenues for cooperation, with both sides sharing proposals and ideas regarding prospective projects and joint initiatives.
