Fiscal Governance and Public Financial Management Discussed with IMF Representatives

The meeting focused on further developing mutually beneficial cooperation with the International Monetary Fund and included an exchange of views on the priority areas of ongoing reforms in fiscal governance and public financial management.
Particular attention was paid to the key objectives set in the area of fiscal development, measures being undertaken in this regard, and efforts to further strengthen the public financial management system.
The discussions also covered ongoing work to identify, assess and monitor fiscal risks, take into account their potential impact on the sustainability of public finances, and improve fiscal risk management mechanisms.
The meeting also addressed the processes for formulating budget revenues and expenditures, as well as efforts to improve budget planning and forecasting. Particular attention was paid to the effective management of budgetary resources and ensuring greater consistency in financial planning.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides expressed their readiness to further strengthen cooperation and expand the exchange of views on the issues discussed.
