Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The document sets out the forecasts of key macroeconomic indicators for the medium term, the priority areas of fiscal policy, an assessment of fiscal risks, as well as preliminary projections of the revenues and expenditures of the consolidated budget of the Republic of Uzbekistan.

In particular, the Fiscal Strategy defines the main approaches aimed at:

— ensuring macroeconomic and fiscal stability;

— strengthening the revenue base of the State Budget;

— ensuring the efficient and prudent use of budgetary resources;

— identifying, assessing and managing fiscal risks;

— maintaining public debt at a sustainable level;

— enhancing openness, transparency and accountability in public financial management.

The Fiscal Strategy will also serve as the basis for the preparation of the State Budget drafts and Budget Messages for 2027–2029 and will determine the medium-term priorities of public finance policy.

In line with the goals and objectives set out in the “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy, the document provides for ensuring sustainable long-term economic growth, strengthening budget discipline and implementing a flexible fiscal policy capable of adapting to external and domestic economic developments.
