For reference: Société Générale is one of Europe's largest international financial institutions. The Group provides a wide range of banking and financial services to corporate and institutional clients, investors, and public sector entities, and operates in more than 60 countries worldwide.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of cooperation between Uzbekistan and Société Générale, as well as prospects for further strengthening collaboration, including in the areas of international financial markets, investment activities, privatization processes, and the attraction of foreign capital.
The sides also exchanged views on Uzbekistan’s macroeconomic development, the implementation of structural reforms, and measures aimed at ensuring sustainable economic growth and further improving the investment climate. Particular attention was paid to the implementation of the privatization program for state-owned enterprises and banks with state ownership.
The discussions also covered the results of the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of UzNIF shares. Representatives of Société Générale expressed their interest in participating in promising investment and privatization projects in Uzbekistan and in continuing cooperation in these areas.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening mutually beneficial cooperation, supporting economic reforms, and implementing joint initiatives aimed at attracting investment into the country's economy.
