Meeting Held with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the United Kingdom

The meeting was attended by the UK Trade Commissioner for Eastern Europe and Central Asia, David Reed; the British Embassy Country Director, Nicholas Altam; as well as the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, Umid Abidkhadjaev; the Deputy Minister of Transport, Jasurbek Choriyev; and other officials.
During the dialogue, the parties discussed the prospects for further developing bilateral cooperation, the economic reforms being implemented in our country, and measures aimed at ensuring macroeconomic and financial stability.
In particular, the parties focused on the following areas during their discussions:
· Privatization processes and expanding access to international capital markets;
· Cooperation within the framework of the Green Inclusive Growth Fund (GIG Fund), support for small and medium-sized enterprises, development of the venture capital market, expansion of private sector activities, and financing innovative startup projects and ensuring their sustainable growth;
· Projects aimed at developing logistics and transport infrastructure, including initiatives for high-speed railway networks and projects to build modern toll roads.
In turn, the British side noted that these infrastructure projects are vital for accelerating economic growth, improving logistical efficiency, and strengthening interregional integration.
At the conclusion of the negotiations, the parties agreed to develop mutual cooperation, promote joint projects in priority areas, and continue a constructive dialogue.
