The conference, organized at a high level, was dedicated to the issues of introducing transparent and effective management mechanisms based on the modernization and digitalization of the public procurement system, expanding the practice of "green" procurement aimed at ensuring environmental sustainability, training qualified personnel in the field, forming their advanced competence, and introducing innovative educational models.
The conference will serve as an important platform for the exchange of best practices and scientific approaches, creating a platform for open dialogue between representatives of public administration bodies, academia, and the international community. The event was attended by the Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Deputy Chairman of the Committee for Competition Development and Consumer Protection, responsible employees of the Anti-Corruption Agency, representatives of the National Committee for Ecology and Climate Change, heads of the State Institution "Center for Improving the Efficiency of Projects and Procurement," specialists of the Agency for Industrial Cooperation and Public Procurement, experts from international financial organizations and representatives of international financial institutions, as well as professors and teachers of higher educational institutions, young researchers and responsible persons working in the field.
The conference discussed the institutional and legal foundations for improving the public procurement system, theoretical and practical aspects of implementing "green" procurement criteria, the development of the national environmental labeling system, and issues of increasing the transparency and efficiency of procurement processes through the use of digital technologies, including artificial intelligence tools.
Specifically, in the lectures delivered by the participants, it was scientifically substantiated that a procurement system based on environmental criteria is not only an important factor in environmental protection but also in ensuring long-term economic efficiency. At the same time, it was emphasized that digital transformation processes will serve to eliminate risks arising from the human factor in the public procurement system, reduce corruption factors, and expand real-time monitoring capabilities.
Within the framework of the conference, special attention was paid to the issues of training highly qualified personnel for the public procurement system, developing modern knowledge and skills, and the widespread implementation of innovative educational models. Furthermore, it is important to conduct an in-depth analysis of reforms in the field of public procurement, identify existing problems, and develop scientifically grounded solutions.
The main goal of the conference is to contribute to increasing the efficiency of using budget funds by comprehensively improving the public procurement system, ensuring sustainable economic development and environmental balance.
