Practical work has begun in Uzbekistan as part of the B-READY subnational study

From April 27 to May 1, 2026, practical assessments and meetings were conducted with the participation of World Bank experts at the Ministry of Construction and Housing and Communal Services, the Customs Committee, as well as in the cities of Tashkent, Samarkand, and Karshi. In addition, analytical work was undertaken at major border crossing points to examine international trade processes.
Within the scope of the study, discussions were held with representatives of government agencies and the private sector on issues such as construction permitting procedures, foreign trade and customs processes, and the efficiency of public services.
This subnational study aims to assess the business environment across regions, identify existing challenges, and support the further deepening of reforms in line with international standards.
