New areas of cooperation in public finance management have been identified between Uzbekistan and Korea

During the meeting, the parties thoroughly discussed issues related to the broad introduction of modern information and communication technologies to improve the efficiency of public financial management systems. In particular, special attention was given to increasing the efficiency of budget processes through digitalization and automation, reducing the human factor, and accelerating decision-making processes.
The sides also exchanged views on ongoing measures aimed at strengthening the transparency and accountability of financial operations, improving public and institutional oversight over public finances, and ensuring the openness and reliability of data.
Within the framework of the visit, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Treasury Committee of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Korea Fiscal Information Service, aimed at developing public financial management information systems, exchanging experience, and expanding institutional cooperation.
This document serves as a solid legal framework for the implementation of joint projects and the introduction of advanced practices between the two countries.
The memorandum also provides for cooperation in the areas of exchanging best practices, integrating information systems, enhancing the qualifications of specialists, and introducing innovative solutions.
During the visit, meetings were also held with representatives of the Presidential Committee on the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy of the Republic of Korea and the National Information Society Agency.
Within the framework of these discussions, the delegation members were provided with detailed information on the reforms being implemented in the Republic of Korea regarding the introduction of artificial intelligence technologies in public administration, digital transformation, and innovative management solutions. In particular, the achieved results in implementing modern digital platforms for public financial management, improving data-driven decision-making mechanisms, and digitalizing public services were presented.
At the same time, the importance of studying advanced international experience and adapting it to national practice was particularly emphasized.
