During the visit, at the initial stage of the guided informational tour accompanied by a qualified guide, participants witnessed how the Center presents the development of human civilization—from the Stone Age to the present day—through a modern and systematic approach. This allowed visitors to gain a comprehensive and structured understanding of the evolution of humanity.
Throughout the экскурсия, participants received detailed information about the centuries-old history of Islamic civilization, covering the path of human development from its earliest stages to modern times. They were particularly impressed by the conditions created at the Center, its rich exhibitions, and new initiatives. Special attention was drawn to sections dedicated to prominent historical figures such as Amir Temur, Alisher Navoi, Zahiriddin Muhammad Babur, Abu Ali Ibn Sina, and other scholars. Their immense contributions to global science and culture were presented in an impactful manner using modern technologies.
The Center itself is constructed in accordance with traditional and national architectural styles. Visitors were also provided with detailed information about artifacts such as Timurid-era ceramics, fragments of the large Uthman Quran copied during the time of Amir Temur, pieces of architectural tiles from Timurid monuments, as well as weapons, helmets, shields, swords, and armor fragments from the Baburid period. A particularly notable feature was the interactive exhibition dedicated to the history of the Great Silk Road and its role in the development of civilizations. Trade routes, cultural exchanges, and interactions among peoples were vividly illustrated using modern multimedia tools, leaving a strong impression on visitors.
At the same time, special attention was given to the development of New Uzbekistan within the exhibitions. Interactive displays presented information about ongoing reforms in the country, achievements on the international stage, including Olympic champions in sports. In addition, models reflecting the future development directions of New Uzbekistan, incorporating modern architecture and innovative technologies, demonstrated a distinctive contemporary approach.
For reference, the Center of Islamic Civilization is one of the largest complexes in the world dedicated to the study and promotion of Islamic history, culture, and civilization in terms of its scale and scope. It is located on a 10-hectare area within the Hazrati Imam complex in Tashkent. The building consists of three floors, measuring 161 meters in length and 118 meters in width. Its dome reaches a height of 65 meters, and the total usable area exceeds 42,000 square meters. The Center also offers opportunities to explore:
rare manuscripts and ancient sources;
their preservation and restoration processes;
