The meeting was also attended by Yu Jun, Director General of the Department of International Cooperation of the Development Research Center of the State Council of China, Gao Shiji, Director of the Institute of Resources and Environmental Policies, as well as Abdumalik Jalilov, Head of Department at the Ministry of Economy and Finance of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Zamon Xoldorov, First Deputy Director of the Institute for Macroeconomic and Regional Studies under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and other responsible officials.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the further development of socio-economic ties and the expansion of cooperation in priority areas, within the framework of the strategic partnership between Uzbekistan and China.

In the course of discussions, the sides exchanged views on the current macroeconomic situation in Uzbekistan, economic growth dynamics, measures aimed at stabilizing inflation, supporting the private sector, and improving public welfare. Particular attention was also given to the large-scale socio-economic reforms being implemented in the country and their outcomes.

The parties further explored prospects for implementing joint projects in green energy, chemical industry, infrastructure development, transport and logistics. Special emphasis was placed on enhancing cooperation in improving energy efficiency, expanding the use of renewable energy sources, and ensuring sustainable economic growth.

The negotiations also covered cooperation in poverty reduction, improvement of the social protection system, conducting scientific research in the digital economy and IT sectors, introduction of innovative approaches, and development of the creative economy.

In addition, within the framework of the meeting, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed between the Institute for Macroeconomic and Regional Studies under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan and the Development Research Center of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to consistently continue mutually beneficial cooperation, implement new joint initiatives and projects, and further strengthen bilateral relations.
