Prospects for cooperation in the textile sector discussed with the leadership of DoCotton Group

During the dialogue, the parties discussed issues related to further development of Uzbekistan’s textile industry, effective utilization of its significant potential, and enhancing the global competitiveness of national textile products. In particular, prospects for creating internationally recognized brands, expanding the value-added chain, and developing the production of high-quality yarn and fabrics through deep processing of cotton were considered.
The parties also paid special attention to opportunities for cooperation in increasing efficiency in cotton fields, introducing modern agricultural technologies, developing the seed production system, and improving seed quality. In this regard, the importance of expanding research activities in seed production and implementing innovative approaches to enhance productivity and product quality was emphasized.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides expressed their readiness to develop mutually beneficial cooperation aimed at modernizing the textile industry, expanding the production of high value-added products, and further strengthening the position of Uzbekistan’s textile sector at the international level.
