During the opening session, Muzaffar Hakimov, Senior Banker at the EBRD’s Small and Medium Enterprise Finance and Development Department, and Amirxon Muydinov, Head of the Department for Organizing the Implementation of Strategies and Programs for Small and Medium Business Development at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, delivered remarks. They emphasized the ongoing reforms aimed at improving the business environment in the country, providing financial and institutional support to business entities, and highlighted the importance of cooperation with international financial institutions.
During the event, EBRD specialists delivered detailed presentations on available financing opportunities, consulting services, and grant projects for small and medium-sized enterprises. In particular, they focused on the advantages of financial and advisory programs designed to support business development, their practical application, and their role in business modernization.
The main part of the seminar focused on modern approaches to developing business strategies, establishing effective corporate governance systems, ensuring the long-term sustainable development of organizations, and increasing competitiveness. Issues such as implementing corporate governance principles, risk management, and ensuring transparency and efficiency in management systems were also discussed.
At the conclusion of the event, participants engaged in an exchange of experience and put forward proposals and recommendations on ensuring the sustainable development of business entities, expanding cooperation with international financial institutions, and introducing innovative approaches to entrepreneurial activity.
