Cooperation directions discussed with Zou Jiayi, President of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank

The meeting was attended by the Head of the AIIB President's Administration, Yang Zhou, General Director of Investment for Public Sector and Project and Corporate Finance Clients, Konstantin Limitovsky, Deputy Minister of Economy and Finance, Ilkhomjon Umrzakov, Director of the National Energy Efficiency Agency, Ziyovuddin Badriddinov, and other responsible representatives.
During the dialogue, the parties discussed socio-economic development trends in our country, future goals and priority areas, the development of mutually beneficial relations, and expanding areas of cooperation.
In particular, the parties focused on the following main areas:
· Cooperation in priority areas of socio-economic development, including infrastructure development, accelerating urbanization processes, and creating new jobs;
· Supporting SMEs, IT, fintech, and startup projects;
· Projects implemented on the basis of public-private partnership (PPP), in particular, the development of transport-logistics and road infrastructure and modernization of the energy supply system based on PPP;
· Development of the agricultural sector, improvement of irrigation networks and efficient use of water resources;
· Supporting green transformation processes, including developing a green economy and enhancing energy efficiency.
In turn, the head of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank highly appreciated the results achieved in the socio-economic development of our country and the identified priority goals, and emphasized their interest in further expanding cooperation in the future.
Additionally, within the framework of the meeting, an agreement was signed on financing the project "Repair of public roads of local importance in the Republic of Karakalpakstan and Khorezm region" with the participation of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank.
Following the negotiations, the parties agreed to develop mutual cooperation, expand the exchange of views on the above issues, and conduct systematic and effective activities to achieve the set goals.
