EXPORT, INVESTMENT AND THE BANKING SYSTEM: HOW IS THE “UZBEKISTAN – 2030” STRATEGY BEING IMPROVED?

The latest press conference held at the Development Strategy Center was dedicated to the direction of the improved draft “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy titled “Forming a modern model of economic development by 2030, increasing the country’s investment attractiveness, and accelerating reforms in the banking system.”
Representatives of the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Ministry of Investments, Industry and Trade, and the Central Bank, as well as experts, media representatives, and journalists, were invited to the event.
The conference was moderated by E. Tulyakov, Executive Director of the Development Strategy Center. He emphasized that, as a result of large-scale reforms implemented in recent years, certain achievements have been attained. At the same time, life itself is putting forward new tasks, new demands, and new challenges, which makes it necessary to further improve the Strategy based on existing realities, the needs of society, and rapidly changing global trends.
During the conference, analysis of the indicators set out in the improved draft “Uzbekistan – 2030” Strategy was presented by Abdulla Hoshimov, Advisor to the Minister of Investments, Industry and Trade; Ibrohim Qosimxo‘jayev, Head of Department at the Ministry of Economy and Finance; and Ravshanbek Qodirov, Director of a department at the Central Bank.
