The B-Ready report evaluates countries on a 100-point scale through a four-stage assessment cycle, with a total coverage of 179 countries by 2027.
For reference, the first stage (2024) included 50 countries, the second (2025) – 51 countries (including the Republic of Uzbekistan), the third (2026) – 63 countries, and the fourth stage (2027) will evaluate the remaining 15 countries.
This year, the B-Ready 2025 report evaluated business conditions in 101 countries, and for the first time, Uzbekistan’s results across 3 areas and 10 indicators were officially published.
According to the report, the Republic of Uzbekistan was ranked among the countries of 1st Group (80-100 percent, high level) in terms of Operational efficiency (71.80 points), and 2nd Group (60-80 percent, above average) in terms of Regulatory framework (69.52 points) and Public services (65.12 points).
Our country is included in the 1st Group according to the Business Entry indicator in 2nd Group according to 7 indicators (Business location, Utility Services, Labor, Financial Services, International Trade, Taxation, Dispute Resolution), and also in the 3rd Group for Market Competition and Business Insolvency indicators.
Indicators for each direction and indicator are divided into five groups (quintiles).
Overall, the Czech Republic (regulatory framework – 80.73 points), Republic of Korea (public services – 80.22 points) and Singapore (operational efficiency – 79.25 points) recorded the highest results in this year's report.
The B-Ready report offers a broader and more detailed assessment of the business environment compared to previous evaluation tools. It is based on direct engagement with business communities and focuses on real business processes.
The initiative covers almost all global regions — Sub-Saharan Africa, Europe and Central Asia, Middle East and North Africa, South Asia, Latin America and Caribbean, OECD high income, East Asia and Pacific — enabling extensive comparative analysis.
To ensure regular data updates, the World Bank conducts Enterprise Surveys every three years through interviews with entrepreneurs, and annually organizes surveys involving business representatives, experts, and government agencies.
Each area also considers the use of digital technologies, environmental sustainability, and gender inclusion factors.
The B-Ready methodology is being improved gradually during 2024–2027, and (the Methodology Handbook) updated and published annually, ensuring objective and comparable cross-country assessments.
