Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan

Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with a delegation of major American companies visiting Uzbekistan under the initiative of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The meeting took place at the Hyatt Regency Tashkent.

The delegation included representatives from Apple, Amazon Project Kuiper, Mastercard, Meta, Plug & Play Tech Center, Illumina, and other leading U.S. technology and innovation companies.

Discussions focused on prospects for cooperation in the development of the digital economy, strengthening information security, integrating artificial intelligence into public administration and business processes, supporting startups and the innovation ecosystem, and advancing IT education and digital infrastructure.

Representatives of U.S. companies commended Uzbekistan’s ongoing reforms in the fields of digitalization and innovation and expressed strong interest in the country’s investment climate and emerging business opportunities.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides agreed to develop practical cooperation in digital technologies, cybersecurity, and startup development, and to implement joint initiatives aimed at expanding innovation partnerships.
