TUIT Marks 70th Anniversary with International Conference

Tashkent University of Information Technologies (TUIT) named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi is celebrating its 70th anniversary. To mark the occasion, festive events and an international scientific and practical conference titled “Development of Engineering Fields and Economic Sectors in the Process of Digital Transformation:
Problems and Solutions” were held in Tashkent.
The celebrations included the opening of the Friendship Garden with a sapling planting ceremony, the inauguration of Living Lab and Fablab facilities, and a video presentation showcasing the university’s history and recent achievements. Representatives of leading international organizations and rating agencies, including QS and Times Higher Education, addressed the conference, while ambassadors, university rectors, and heads of scientific institutions extended their congratulations.
Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov also took part in the anniversary events.
The 70th anniversary of TUIT holds significance not only for the university itself, but also for the country’s scientific, educational, and economic development. The discussions and proposals made during the conference are expected to support Uzbekistan’s digital transformation strategy and strengthen international cooperation
