Another significant initiative has been launched to encourage women’s active participation in the field of information and communication technologies (ICT), helping them realize their full potential and build sustainable careers in technological fields.
On August 27, a special event titled "Take Another Step Toward Your Dream Career!" was organized in collaboration with the Ministry of Digital Technologies, School 21, and the GAP Women’s IT Club.
The following experts participated in the event:

During the meeting, the importance of continuous education, acquiring new skills, and professional networking opportunities for career growth was emphasized. Participants asked questions of interest and received practical answers.
According to statistics:
• In 2018, the number of girls studying ICT in higher education institutions in Uzbekistan was 3,300.
• By 2024, this figure exceeded 17,700.
Over the past two years, more than 1,000 participants have been involved in the GAP project, most of whom have secured jobs or are undergoing internships.
In addition, Uzbekistan:
Improved its ranking from 87th to 63rd place in the UN e-Government Development Index.
Increasing women’s participation in the technology sector and enhancing their modern knowledge and skills is a priority of the “Digital Uzbekistan - 2030” strategy. Initiatives like the GAP Women’s IT Club serve as a key platform in achieving this goal.
