Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan

The fourth meeting of the heads of ministries and departments responsible for the development of information and communication technologies of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states was held in Karamay, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region.

During the meeting, participants discussed accelerating digital transformation across the SCO region, the introduction of advanced digital technologies including artificial intelligence, big data, cloud computing, and smart city solutions, as well as the expansion of cooperation in areas such as information security, digital infrastructure, public administration, and the digital economy.

The Republic of Uzbekistan was represented by Sherzod Shermatov, Minister of Digital Technologies.

At the conclusion of the meeting, an Action Plan was adopted to strengthen cooperation among SCO member states in the field of digital transformation.

Key areas of the Action Plan include:

– Coordination of digital transformation policies
– Development of digital infrastructure
– Implementation of digital government systems
– Cooperation in cloud computing technologies
– Support for the digitization of small and medium-sized enterprises
– Development and application of digital technologies
– Personnel exchange and training of specialists
