Ministry of Digital Technologies and Asian Development Bank Discuss Digital Economy and Infrastructure Development

Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov met with Head of Office of Markets Development and Public-Private Partnership Cleo Kawawaki and Country Operations Head Uzbekistan Resident Mission of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Mirzo Iskandar Gulamov, to discuss key areas of cooperation in Uzbekistan’s digital economy.
The meeting covered expanding public-private partnership projects, strengthening collaboration with ADB, and advancing digital infrastructure modernization.
Discussions also highlighted ongoing IT sector initiatives, future development strategies, tax incentives, and programs aimed at creating high-paying technology jobs for young professionals.
Additionally, opportunities for cooperation were explored in supporting IT education, business start-ups and expanding digital services across Uzbekistan’s regions.
ADB representatives were presented with an overview of projects developed by Uzinfocom, the Single Integrator for Digital Technologies, emphasizing its role in accelerating Uzbekistan's digital transformation.
