Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with Cho Myong Woo, President of Inha University of the Republic of Korea, to discuss strengthening their ten-year partnership and implementing new initiatives.
Minister Shermatov emphasized the importance of the ten-year anniversary of Inha University in Tashkent, acknowledging its crucial role in shaping the future of Uzbekistan’s youth. He also noted that over 400 Uzbek students are currently studying at Inha University in Korea, demonstrating the strong interest in IT education in the country. The Minister underscored the essential contributions these students will make as skilled professionals in the evolving IT sector.
Addressing the increasing demand for IT specialists in Uzbekistan, the Minister stressed the need for deeper ties with leading institutions like Inha University to meet this demand.
Discussions during the meeting focused on enhancing the development strategy for Inha University in Tashkent, improving the quality of IT education, and launching new specialized programs.
Both parties shared perspectives on establishing new academic disciplines suited to the needs of the modern IT industry, creating optimal conditions for personnel training, and elevating the university's status on the international stage.
Concluding the meeting, an agreement was reached to increase the financial resources of the university and intensify efforts to attract additional support.
