Commenting on the recent assessment by the international rating agency Fitch Ratings, Saida Mirziyoyeva noted:
> “The recognition of these changes by our international partners is of particular importance to us. The international rating agency Fitch has revised the outlook on Uzbekistan’s sovereign credit rating from ‘stable’ to ‘positive’.
This reflects the high level of confidence international investors place in our country. As Head of the Working Group on Improving Uzbekistan’s Sovereign Credit Rating, I would like to emphasize that we will continue active engagement with our partners.
Our strategic goal is to achieve an investment-grade sovereign credit rating by 2030.”
The revision of Uzbekistan’s sovereign rating outlook from “stable” to “positive” represents another important international acknowledgment of the country’s macroeconomic stability, the effectiveness of ongoing reforms and the growing attractiveness of Uzbekistan as an investment destination.
The decision is expected to further strengthen investor confidence, support the attraction of foreign investment and contribute to the country’s long-term economic development objectives.
