Uzbekistan and Finland Expand Cooperation in Digital Transport and Logistics

Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov held a meeting with Kimmo Ylisjurjunen, Head of the Transport Data Services Cluster at Fintraffic.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to transport management, digital mobility, logistics and the development of transport data ecosystems. Particular attention was given to Finland’s experience in managing road, rail, air and maritime transport through a unified digital infrastructure.
The discussions also focused on opportunities for real-time processing and monitoring of transport data, the implementation of intelligent logistics solutions, the application of artificial intelligence technologies in the transport sector and the development of digital logistics corridors connecting Central Asia and Europe.
In addition, the parties exchanged views on cooperation in the areas of open API services, transport data platforms and GovTech solutions aimed at improving the efficiency and transparency of transport management systems.
The meeting highlighted the importance of digital technologies in enhancing logistics processes, supporting sustainable mobility and strengthening regional connectivity.
At the conclusion of the talks, both sides expressed interest in continuing cooperation in the fields of digital transport infrastructure, smart mobility and logistics, as well as in the implementation of joint projects and the exchange of international best practices.
