Tashkent is hosting the international “GameFest 2026” festival, one of the largest events in Central Asia dedicated to the video game, animation and creative technology industries.

The large-scale international forum is being held for the third consecutive year with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, at the initiative of the Creative Union of Uzbekistan, in cooperation with the Mirzo Ulugbek Heirs Training Center and IT Park Uzbekistan.
This year’s festival has become one of the region’s largest platforms for the creative economy, bringing together more than 100 representatives of companies, investors, animators, programmers and gaming industry experts from over 40 countries.
Leading global companies, including Warner Bros. Games, Google, Meta, Xsolla, Framestore, Skystone Games and Mobidictum, are participating in the event and sharing international experience with local specialists and young developers.
The festival program includes international networking sessions, master classes, panel discussions and investment pitch presentations. In particular, experts from Meta, Warner Bros. Games and DeAPlaneta Entertainment are conducting specialized sessions on animation production and video game development.
The event also provides local startups and software developers with an opportunity to present their projects to representatives of international venture capital firms, including Behold Ventures and Ludus Ventures.
In recent years, Uzbekistan’s video game export volume has increased 21-fold, reaching $200 million. In this context, “GameFest 2026” is serving as an important international platform for strengthening Uzbekistan’s position in the global gaming and creative industries, promoting the “Made in Uzbekistan” brand abroad, and attracting new investment into the country’s digital economy.
