As part of the program’s launch, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Ministry of Digital Technologies, Visa, Ipak Yuli Bank and Hamroh, outlining cooperation to promote inclusive economic development.
The initiative seeks to establish an active community of women entrepreneurs in Uzbekistan within a regional platform uniting 17 countries, providing access to educational resources, international networking opportunities and experience exchange. The partners also aim to accelerate digital transformation processes and enhance digital and financial literacy among participants.
The first phase of the program, launched under the slogan “Start!”, invites women who have established or are planning to start their own businesses to register via the official platform by May 24.
Participants will gain access to an educational program comprising four video modules and assessment tests. Those who successfully complete the program will be eligible to present their business projects to an expert panel.
Following the evaluation process, 30 finalists will be selected to pitch their ideas during the She’s Next Pitch Day event in Tashkent. Ultimately, seven winners will be awarded grants to support the launch or expansion of their businesses, with a total prize fund of $22,000.
According to the United Nations report “Women’s Entrepreneurship in Uzbekistan: Assessment and Recommendations” published in April 2025, approximately 2.1 million women are engaged in entrepreneurial activity in Uzbekistan. This figure has increased sevenfold since 2020, with women accounting for around 35% of total employment in the national economy. The data underscores both the growing interest in women’s entrepreneurship and the importance of targeted support measures in financing and business development.
