A regional online service center of ZTE has been officially launched at IT Park Uzbekistan. The new center will deliver modern digital services and technical support to clients in Uzbekistan, Central Asia, and Europe.
The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Digital Technologies, Sherzod Shermatov. It was noted that the establishment of a regional center by a leading international technology company reflects Uzbekistan’s growing investment attractiveness and the expanding role of the country in the global IT services market.
The center is expected to facilitate the rapid provision of online services, technical support, and innovative solutions across multiple regions. Its operations will contribute to the development of the digital economy, enhance the export potential of IT services, and support the creation of high-value employment opportunities for local specialists.
According to 2025 results, IT service exports from Uzbekistan in cooperation with ZTE increased significantly, reaching $5 million. The launch of the new center represents a continuation of this positive trend and is expected to further expand export volumes.
As part of the event, a meeting was held between Minister Sherzod Shermatov and ZTE Senior Vice President Zhang Jianpeng. Particular attention was given to the creation of secure and reliable data storage systems, the development of high-performance cloud computing infrastructure, and opportunities for attracting foreign investment in these areas. The parties also reviewed issues related to energy supply, including the use of renewable energy sources, and the expansion of infrastructure required for large-scale data center projects.
In addition, the discussions addressed strengthening cybersecurity and physical protection measures, as well as the adoption of advanced international practices in ensuring the security and resilience of digital infrastructure.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the parties confirmed their readiness to accelerate the development of digital infrastructure in Uzbekistan, introduce advanced technologies, and further expand bilateral cooperation.
