As part of the visit, the delegation toured the IT Park Uzbekistan complex. The guests were presented with detailed information on the IT Park ecosystem, ongoing reforms aimed at developing the national IT sector, conditions created for residents, tax and infrastructure incentives, as well as measures to expand export-oriented IT services. Mechanisms for supporting startup projects and areas of international cooperation were also outlined.
The delegation also visited the UzSOC cybersecurity center, where they were briefed on measures to ensure information security, protect state bodies and strategic infrastructure from cyber threats, and implement rapid response mechanisms. Real-time monitoring platforms, analytical tools, and incident response systems were demonstrated.
In addition, the guests became acquainted with the activities of UZINFOCOM. Presentations covered the development and maintenance of state information systems, the e-government infrastructure, data center capacities, and the management of digital platforms.
Subsequently, a meeting was held between the Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov and Deputy Prime Minister Adriana Mesarović.
During the meeting, the parties discussed issues related to digital transformation, the introduction of information and communication technologies in public administration and economic sectors, the development of data processing centers, and the creation of artificial intelligence and language models. The Serbian side also shared information on expanding the capacity of its data processing centers and supercomputing infrastructure.
The parties expressed readiness to exchange experience in attracting investment to the ICT sector, digitizing public services, and implementing innovative solutions and software products. Particular attention was given to the development of the startup ecosystem, the expansion of innovation centers, and the organization of joint business forums.
