"School 21" Launches IT Specialist Training in Tashkent

Admissions for the free training program for IT specialists have begun at the "School 21" campus in Tashkent, which is located on the premises of Inha University.The school will open on August 26th, 2024, and the first round of qualifying exams will take place on that day. The campus plans to train more than 1,500 students each year.
"School 21" is an educational institution dedicated to digital technologies. It provides citizens over 18 years old, residing in Uzbekistan and neighboring countries, with the opportunity to learn highly demanded IT skills for free. The project is implemented with the support of the Ministry of Digital Technologies and the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Innovation.
Today, on May 30, a press conference was held for journalists to discuss the activities of the Tashkent campus of "School 21" and its plans for training IT specialists. The event was attended by Rustam Karimjonov, Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies.
In his speech, the Deputy Minister emphasized the goal of the "Uzbekistan-2030" strategy to increase IT services and software exports to $5 billion. Achieving this requires developing IT infrastructure and establishing IT academies. A key step in this direction is the opening of the School 21 IT school in Tashkent, initially started in Samarkand. The opening of this academy is expected to significantly contribute to the advancement of IT education and digital technologies in our country.
