During the media training organized at the joint seminar "Information Services 2024: National and Foreign Experience", participants shared their views on "New Opportunities of Artificial Intelligence and Social Network Platforms in Information Transmission in the Modern Media Space".
Sayyora Ibragimova, a senior researcher at the Scientific Research Institute for the Development of Digital Technologies and Artificial Intelligence under the Ministry of Digital Technologies, presented a comparative analysis of the levels of artificial intelligence use in the world and in Uzbekistan, based on the general AI concepts. She also offered some useful applications to facilitate the work of information services.
Fazliddin Anvarov, Chief Specialist of the Department for the Introduction and Development of Artificial Intelligence Technologies of the Ministry of Digital Technologies, provided insights into the role of artificial intelligence in the media in our country. He discussed the stages of AI development, innovative projects in this field, the "President Tech Award", advantages and threats of AI in information distribution, the future of mass media in AI development, and other important issues.
Islam El-Hadary, Head of the Department of Education and Accreditation at “New Uzbekistan University”, gave a presentation on deepfakes, fake images, and fake news, as well as the impact of artificial intelligence (AI) on the spread of this content globally. During his talk, he provided practical examples of how AI can be used to create content and presented applications that can help identify fake news.
The joint seminar was successful, featuring interactive sessions and a question-and-answer segment.
