The opening ceremony was attended by the Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Sherzod Shermatov, VEON Group Chief Executive Officer Kaan Terzioglu, as well as members of the Supervisory Board and the management team of Beeline Uzbekistan.
Located in Tashkent, the NOC functions as Beeline Uzbekistan’s centralized digital operations hub, providing continuous 24/7 monitoring of more than 5,850 base stations and ensuring stable telecommunications services for 7.7 million subscribers (as of September 2025).
The center operates under a proactive network management model, enabling real-time detection of deviations in key performance indicators and the prompt implementation of corrective measures by technical specialists. This approach allows potential disruptions to be prevented before they affect end users, thereby enhancing service reliability and overall customer experience.
Beeline Uzbekistan’s infrastructure security is further reinforced by a dedicated Security Operations Center (SOC), which provides round-the-clock monitoring of the digital environment and rapid response to cyber threats. The integrated cooperation between the SOC, IT teams, and software developers enables early identification of vulnerabilities and ensures a high level of protection of user data.
Addressing the participants, Minister of Digital Technologies Sherzod Shermatov emphasized the dynamic development of the digital economy in Uzbekistan, highlighting the role of consistent public policy and targeted initiatives in supporting digital transformation.
The Minister also welcomed VEON’s proposals to continue investing in Uzbekistan’s digital economy, expand critical telecommunications infrastructure, further improve service quality through digital platforms, and support the development of young specialists.
