Uzbekistan Concludes 'Cabinet of Ministers Cup' Cybersports Tournament

Uzbekistan has concluded the national "Cabinet of Ministers Cup" cybersports tournament, an initiative stemming from the November 16, 2022, Presidential Resolution aimed at popularizing cybersports and integrating talent into the information technology industry.
The reforms are designed to establish a systematic ecosystem for cybersports, fostering teamwork and professional development among youth. The strategy aims to qualify specialists for international competition and encourage transitions into the broader IT and software sectors.
The tournament featured competitions in two primary disciplines: Counter-Strike 2 (CS 2) and PUBG Mobile.
The event followed a three-stage format—district/city, regional, and republican finals. Qualifying rounds began on December 6, with registered teams participating across all provinces.
The final stage took place on December 19. In the CS 2 discipline, the "NASAF" team from the Kashkadarya region faced "STORM" from Tashkent. In the PUBG Mobile category, 14 teams competed in a "battle royale" format.
The Ministry of Digital Technologies, the Ministry of Sports, the Federation of Electronic Computer Sports, and national cybersport associations organized the event. The total prize fund was 120 million soums, with 60 million soums allocated to each discipline.
The final results are as follows:
Counter-Strike 2 (CS 2):
• 1st place: Storm (Tashkent) – 30 million soums
• 2nd place: Nasaf (Kashkadarya) – 20 million soums
• 3rd place: LEGENDA999 (Bukhara) – 10 million soums
PUBG Mobile:
• 1st place: DANGER ESPORTS (Andijan) – 30 million soums
• 2nd place: ARCRED (Tashkent) – 20 million soums
• 3rd place: UPGRADE (Namangan) – 10 million soums
