In December, the President Tech Award hosted a series of key events, combining the relaunched hackathon and the final stage of the main competition. These stages created a unified trajectory for supporting startups—from idea and prototype to mature solutions with high scaling potential.
President Tech Award Hackathon: a new format and a new impetus
From December 5 to 7, School 21 hosted the relaunch of the President Tech Award hackathon, one of the program's central events.
Twenty-one teams selected from 70 eligible projects took part in the hackathon. The distribution across tracks — FinTech, GovTech, MedTech, GreenTech, and AdTech — was done by drawing lots, ensuring equal conditions for all participants. The main prize of the hackathon was $100,000.
On the second day, the teams passed a checkpoint — an interim pitch and technical review of solutions, including code analysis. The final day included a pitch polishing workshop and presentations to an international expert jury:
Alexander Gushchin — Click Avto
Alisher Abdullayev — Ernst & Young
Kelly Pang — Orbit Startups
Melor Kurdovanidze — Payme Lifestyle
Dmitry Pomykin — EPAM
The winner of the hackathon was the Stack Overflowers team with their StreetScreens project — a marketplace for flexible placement of targeted advertising on digital screens with real-time analytics.
The opening ceremony of the hackathon and the main event of the President Tech Award was conducted by First Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies Olimjon Umarov.
