"A Cooperation Agreement Signed with Korea's Kookmin University to Establish a 'Business IT Joint Education Program"

A delegation led by Mr. Jiyong Kim, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and Dr. Seung Ryul Jeong, President of Kookmin University from the Republic of Korea, visited the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi.
The delegation was welcomed by representatives of the Ministry, headed by Deputy Minister of Digital Technologies of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Mr. R. Karimjonov. During the meeting, participants discussed the development of IT education in Uzbekistan, comprehensive support for young people, and government programs aimed at providing quality education.
Additionally, the parties discussed the further development of cooperation, the expansion of training programs for highly qualified IT specialists, and the initiation of joint educational programs between TATU and Kookmin University.
A significant outcome of the visit was the signing of a cooperation agreement between Kookmin University and TATU to establish a "Business IT Joint Educational Program" for the current academic year.
For reference: A grant project titled "Organization of an Innovative Business IT Education System at TATU," valued at $5 million, is being implemented in collaboration with Kookmin University from the Republic of Korea. This initiative aims to enhance the "Business IT" educational program and the innovation ecosystem at the Tashkent University of Information Technologies named after Muhammad al-Khwarizmi.
The primary objective of this project is to strengthen the capacity of higher education in Uzbekistan and to contribute to the national economy by cultivating innovative ICT talents capable of driving the digital economy and establishing a model of industrial-academic collaboration.
