The Activities of Light Industry Enterprises in Navoi Region Were Reviewed
On October 23 of this year, Nozimjon Kholmurodov, Director of the Light Industry Development Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, visited Navoi Region to familiarize himself with the operations of local light industry enterprises.
During the visit, the production processes of the enterprises, the implementation of investment projects, existing production capacities, and future development prospects were reviewed.
In particular, at SVS NAVOI in Kyzyltepa District, work is underway to expand a project for the production of latex-coated gloves. The project is valued at USD 10 million.
Expansion of the carpet production project is also underway at Navoiy Ishonch Gilamlari, with a total investment value of USD 2.1 million.
In addition, the activities of QORAJON-TEXTILE, BRIGHT NAVOI TEXTILE, NAVBAHOR TEKSTIL, Baht-Textile, MENGI TEKSTIL GROUP, and the AL-AZIZ TOLA silk cocoon processing workshop were reviewed, with particular attention paid to their production capabilities and opportunities for further development.
During the visit, key priorities were identified, including expanding production capacities, implementing new investment projects, diversifying product ranges, creating new jobs, and increasing the region’s export potential.
Developing the light industry in the regions is an important factor in increasing production volumes, providing employment opportunities, and expanding the export potential of locally manufactured products.
