On October 2, 2026, on the final day of the international Better Cotton Initiative Large Farm Week, members of the international delegation visited Bukhara Region.
The main objective of the visit was to gain an in-depth understanding of the full value chain in cotton production — from cultivation and processing to the production of finished products, learn about advanced practices, and showcase the work being carried out in Uzbekistan to promote sustainable cotton production.
As part of the visit program, the delegation members:
Visited “Bukhoro Agroklaster”. During the visit, the delegation received information about production processes within the cotton-growing and agro-cluster system, the cultivation of agricultural products, and subsequent stages of their processing.
The delegation then visited “Garden Bukhoro Agroklaster” LLC, where they familiarized themselves with the agro-cluster’s operations, production processes, and modern agricultural approaches.
The next destination was the MTP operations of “Garden Bukhoro Agroklaster” LLC, where the machinery and mechanization capabilities used to efficiently organize agricultural activities were demonstrated.
At the next stage of the visit, the delegation visited “G‘ijduvon Cotton Ginning Plant” JSC. There, they became closely acquainted with the processes of receiving cotton, its primary processing, separation of fiber and other products, and preparation of raw cotton for subsequent stages of production.
At the next destination, the delegation familiarized themselves with the operations of the “Bukhoro Azteks” LLC (Amirtex) garment factory in Shofirkon District. The company demonstrated the process of manufacturing finished garments using processed textile raw materials.
At the final stage of the visit, the delegation familiarized themselves with the processes of cotton raw material processing, fiber production, and directing the products to subsequent stages of processing at “Vobkent Tola Klaster”.
Thus, during their visit to Bukhara Region, the international delegation had the opportunity to observe step by step the entire process — from cotton cultivation, agro-cluster operations and agricultural machinery to primary cotton processing and the production of finished garments.
The visit was of significant importance in terms of demonstrating the development of Uzbekistan’s cotton and textile industry based on an integrated value chain, the practical implementation of sustainable production principles, and the country’s experience in expanding international cooperation.
