Efforts to Reduce Poverty and Ensure Employment Studied in Namangan District

During his working visit to Namangan Region, Nozimjon Kholmurodov, Director of the Agency for the Development of Light Industry under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, reviewed the work being carried out in Namangan District aimed at reducing poverty, ensuring employment, and increasing household incomes.
During the visit, the activities being carried out in the “Katta Toshbuloq,” “Chorbog‘,” “Xo‘jaqishloq,” and “Tepa Qiyot” mahallas, as well as entrepreneurship projects and new opportunities being created for local residents, were reviewed.
In particular, in the “Katta Toshbuloq” mahalla, an open dialogue was held with residents, followed by an inspection of the job fair organized in front of the mahalla building. A presentation was also held on the work being carried out in the district.
In the “Katta Toshbuloq” mahalla, the implementation of activities along Ibn Sino Street under Presidential Resolution No. PQ-49, including the establishment of new business entities and the creation of additional jobs, was reviewed.
In the “Chorbog‘” mahalla, the activities of a vocational training workshop in the service sector and newly established business entities were examined. In particular, a project providing automotive services and the activities of “TOSHBULOQ DON” LLC, which produces feed for livestock and poultry, were reviewed.
During the working visit, relevant recommendations and instructions were given to responsible officials to further accelerate efforts to ensure employment, establish new business entities, increase household incomes, and reduce poverty in the communities.
The main goal is to create new opportunities in every mahalla, engage residents in income-generating employment, and ensure the well-being of families.
