On 21 August this year, the strategic session “Shaping the Future of BCI Together” was held in Tashkent in cooperation with the Light Industry Development Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The event was opened by Baxtiyor Mukhammadsaidov, First Deputy Director of the Agency.
The session discussed BCI’s development strategy in Uzbekistan through 2030, the needs of producers and the market, current challenges in the sector, and future areas of cooperation.
As part of the event, Better Cotton certificates were solemnly awarded to Fergana Global Textile, Sultan Tex Group, Deniz Teks, Navbakhor Textile, and Zelal Tekstil, which have confirmed their compliance with the requirements of the Better Cotton Standard.
For entrepreneurs, Better Cotton certification is an important business tool that helps strengthen the trust of international buyers, integrate into global supply chains, establish cooperation with new customers, and enhance export competitiveness.
In cooperation with BCI, the Agency will continue its systematic efforts to expand certification coverage, prepare clusters for international standards, and strengthen the position of Uzbek products in the global market.
