On August 3, 2026, the Light Industry Development Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan hosted a meeting with a delegation comprising representatives of business associations and leading industrial enterprises from Henan Province, China.
The parties discussed expanding trade, investment and industrial cooperation in the light industry sector, implementing joint investment projects, and strengthening industrial partnerships.
The Uzbek side presented the country's recent achievements in the light industry sector, favorable investment climate and incentives available for foreign investors. Particular attention was given to the production of high value-added products, technology transfer and localization of manufacturing.
The meeting also explored opportunities for joint projects in the production of synthetic fibers, artificial yarns, technical textiles and other modern textile materials, while emphasizing enhanced logistics, export development and regular B2B cooperation.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their commitment to implementing mutually beneficial investment projects and further strengthening bilateral cooperation in the light industry sector.
