On June 19, 2026, a meeting was held between Ruxullo Zikrillayev, Deputy Director of the Light Industry Development Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Mark Wengrzik, Chief Executive Officer of Germany’s AKA Ausfuhrkredit-Gesellschaft m.b.H. (AKA Bank).
During the negotiations, the parties discussed the modernization of Uzbekistan’s light industry and textile sector, the expansion of high value-added production, and the introduction of advanced technologies into the industry.
The participants also exchanged views on further strengthening economic relations between Uzbekistan and Germany, supporting exports, and expanding investment cooperation.
Following the meeting, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Light Industry Development Agency and AKA Bank. The document provides a legal framework for information exchange, the study of export financing mechanisms, and the development of cooperation on projects that may be implemented under guarantees from German export credit agencies.
The parties agreed to continue their dialogue on supplying light industry enterprises with modern technologies and equipment, supporting export-oriented investment projects, and further expanding cooperation involving financial institutions.
