A series of meetings on the cotton and textile industry, as well as e-commerce, were held in Warsaw
As part of the visit, the Uzbek delegation held negotiations with Jerzy Kotwas, Executive Vice President of the Gdynia Cotton Association (GCA). During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for exporting Uzbek cotton, deeply processed textile products, and ready-made garments to European markets.
The participants exchanged views on product quality requirements, certification procedures, sustainable production standards, and strengthening cooperation with international buyers to facilitate access to the European Union market. Detailed information was also presented on the capabilities of Uzbekistan’s modern textile industry and its export potential.
In addition, the delegation met with Patricja Kłos-Agria, Director of Business Development for Europe at SHEIN. The discussions focused on expanding the participation of Uzbek manufacturers in international e-commerce platforms, integrating local enterprises into global online supply chains, and increasing export volumes.
The parties also exchanged views on current e-commerce trends, evolving consumer demands, and opportunities to promote Uzbek products in European markets, while exploring promising areas for future cooperation.
These meetings represent another important step toward strengthening Uzbekistan’s position in international markets, enhancing the competitiveness of its textile industry, and unlocking new export opportunities through both traditional trade channels and digital commerce.
