As part of the official visit of Nozimjon Kholmurodov, Director of the Light Industry Development Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, to European countries, a meeting was held in the Republic of Poland with Habesh Fakibaba, Chairman of the Poland–Türkiye Business Association (POTİAD).
The meeting focused on establishing practical cooperation with Turkish entrepreneurs operating in Poland, promoting Uzbekistan’s light industry products through new trade channels, and exploring opportunities for supplying products on an order-based basis.
The discussions also focused on building cooperation with Turkish importers, distributors, trade intermediaries, and local companies operating in Poland, as well as identifying potential partners interested in establishing business ties with Uzbekistan.
In addition, the parties highlighted the opportunities offered by the Uzbekistan Light and Textile Industry Hub being established in the city of Łódź as an effective platform for showcasing product samples, conducting negotiations, and initiating contacts with potential partners.
The sides also exchanged views on the prospects of relocating Turkish manufacturing enterprises to Uzbekistan and implementing joint projects by making effective use of the country's favorable investment climate and production potential.
At the conclusion of the talks, the parties agreed to utilize POTİAD’s capabilities to foster mutually beneficial cooperation in specific areas between Uzbek manufacturers, Turkish entrepreneurs operating in Poland, and representatives of the local business community.
This meeting will contribute to creating new trade opportunities for Uzbekistan’s light industry products, expanding export geography, and further strengthening the presence of domestic manufacturers in European markets.
