On May 6 of this year, within the framework of an official visit to Hong Kong, Director of the Light Industry Development Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan Nozimjon Kholmurodov held a meeting with Jane Singer, Managing Director of Hong Kong’s Inside Fashion organization.
During the meeting, the parties discussed strengthening the position of Uzbekistan’s light industry in international markets, expanding export potential, and developing global cooperation ties.
In particular, prospects for positioning Uzbekistan as a new sourcing and procurement destination in the light industry sector were comprehensively considered.
The parties also exchanged views on identifying the most promising product categories for effectively promoting the country in international markets.
In addition, discussions were held on establishing information and analytical cooperation with the Inside Fashion platform, as well as developing cooperation formats in the areas of market analysis and industry trends.
During the meeting, the importance of involving international expert recommendations in determining further steps for industry development was emphasized.
