Agency For The Development Of Light Industry Under The Cabinet Of Ministers Of The Republic Of Uzbekistan

On December 15 of the current year, the Director of the Agency for the Development of Light Industry under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Nozimjon Qosimovich, held an official meeting with representatives of the Chinese company “Runcai Textile Technology”. During the meeting, the parties thoroughly discussed the introduction of modern “green” technologies in Uzbekistan based on the recycling and regeneration of textile waste. In particular, innovative solutions aimed at processing textile waste generated during production, obtaining secondary raw materials, efficient use of resources, and reducing negative environmental impact were considered. The meeting also addressed promising investment projects focused on deep processing of cotton and textile raw materials, as well as the production of yarn, fabrics, and finished textile products. Special attention was paid to improving product quality and competitiveness through the introduction of advanced technologies and expanding the production of goods in high demand in both domestic and international markets. In addition, the parties exchanged views on the development of an environmentally sustainable, high value-added regenerative textile industry in Uzbekistan, the establishment of production facilities based on green economy principles, and the adoption of modern technological and management solutions taking into account international best practices. At the conclusion of the meeting, the sides agreed to further strengthen cooperation, identify practical steps for the implementation of promising projects, and continue constructive dialogue on the development of joint initiatives.
