MIIT Enhances the Activities of Regional Structures

On November 23, Jamshid Khodjaev, Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, and Laziz Kudratov, Minister of Investment, Industry, and Trade, participated in a seminar-training in Tashkent. The event, designed to address priority objectives in investment, trade, and international cooperation, brought together over 700 regional leaders and employees of the Ministry of Investment, Industry, and Trade.
The training featured sessions on best practices in attracting investments, fostering trade relationships, and establishing robust direct connections with international partners. Attendees praised the event, highlighting its consolidation of years of expertise into actionable insights expected to significantly amplify their effectiveness.
Deputy Ministers Khurram Teshabaev, Akram Aliev, and Shokhrukh Gulamov delivered thematic presentations, providing strategic guidance.
In particular, a step-by-step guide was presented on establishing cooperation, developing, implementing, and continuously monitoring investment agreements. These agreements are formalized within the framework of high-level visits, intergovernmental commission agreements, and ongoing contacts in the context of multifaceted cooperation with various countries.
Real-world examples of successful regional practices were used to illustrate effective investment strategies. These included detailed analyses of regional potential, workforce availability, transportation and logistics infrastructure, real estate opportunities, and other competitive advantages. The presentations emphasized developing sustainable project proposals, addressing potential investors' informational needs, negotiating effectively, and achieving tangible agreements.
Key topics also included identifying and resolving investor challenges, evaluating public service efficiency, enhancing business protection measures, improving infrastructure, and ensuring adequate access to financial and other resources.
A dedicated session focused on optimizing export strategies and expanding access to global markets, using proven methods for delivering goods to Europe and the Middle East as case studies.
In his closing remarks, Laziz Kudratov proposed new approaches and issued clear directives for implementing a modernized system aimed at boosting the Ministry's overall performance, especially at the regional level.
