On October 21, in honor of the “Day of the Uzbek Language,” the Waste Management and Circular Economy Development Agency, together with the Directorate for Landfill Management and the Abdulla Qodiriy Creative School, organized an event titled “Sacred and Radiant — My Native Language.” The event was attended by the agency’s leadership, industry specialists, and eco-active youth.
Speakers at the event emphasized that the native language is just as great a wealth of a nation as its homeland and statehood. It was noted that, just like nature, the native language must be carefully preserved and passed on to future generations. It was also highlighted that, along with learning foreign languages, great attention is paid in our country to acquiring deep knowledge of the native language, and all necessary conditions are being created for this purpose.
In particular, the role of great figures of their time — such as Alisher Navoi, Abdulla Qahhor, Chulpon, Abdulla Oripov, Erkin Vahidov, and Halima Khudoyberdiyeva — in the development of the Uzbek language was highlighted.
At the conclusion of the event, students performed artistic pieces and musical compositions.
