Waste management and circular economy development agency

The Directorate for the Management of Waste Landfills under the Agency for Waste Management and Circular Economy Development is actively conducting preparatory work for the 2025 autumn-winter season.

In order to ensure the stable operation of landfills during the cold months and to strengthen safety measures in waste disposal and transportation processes, large-scale technical works are being carried out.

In particular, across the republic, a total area of 17,523 meters at 52 waste landfills has been leveled and graveled. The landfill areas have been organized, reserve sites have been prepared, and administrative buildings have been adapted to seasonal conditions.

To carry out these tasks, 69 units of special equipment have been mobilized, including 5 excavators, 39 dump trucks, 16 loaders, 5 bulldozers, 2 compactors, and 2 auto-trailers.

As a result of these measures, the main infrastructure of the landfills has been fully prepared for the 2025–2026 autumn-winter season, and planned works are ongoing in the remaining areas.
