As part of the “Travel Uzbekistan!” program, the Agency for Waste Management and Circular Economy Development organized a trip to Bukhara region for employees of its central office and regional branches.
Within the framework of the Agency’s “Collective Travel Day” initiative, industry employees visited the historic and blessed city of Bukhara, exploring its renowned landmarks — Lyabi Hauz, the Ark Fortress, the Kalyan Minaret, and the Bahouddin Naqshband Memorial Complex, where they immersed themselves in the city’s ancient history and cultural heritage.
During their visit, participants also had the opportunity to attend the First International Biennale of Contemporary Art in Bukhara, titled “Healing for Hearts.” The Biennale brought together more than 70 artists, 10 of the world’s most renowned chefs, and representatives from 39 countries.
Bukhara’s rich history, centuries-old enlightenment traditions, craftsmanship, and the harmonious blend of cultures from around the world turned the Biennale into a true source of inspiration for Agency employees, offering many meaningful paths to spiritual renewal.
For reference: such initiatives play an important role in expanding tourism services in line with Presidential Decree No. PF–87, “On measures to sharply increase tourist flows in 2025–2026 and rapidly expand the scale of tourism services by enhancing the role and significance of tourism in the economy.”
