Waste management and circular economy development agency

The campaign aims to strengthen sanitation and cleaning efforts across the country, further improve the waste management system, and enhance environmental awareness among the public.

As part of the campaign, the Agency for Waste Management and Circular Economy Development of the Republic of Karakalpakstan, regional departments, the Tashkent City Department, and the State Institution “Directorate for Waste Landfill Management” are carrying out a wide range of practical activities in accordance with the approved action plan.

To ensure effective coordination of environmental activities, special operational headquarters have been established within the Agency, its regional departments, and affiliated organizations. In addition, responsible officers have been assigned to each regional department, while a duty roster and a daily monitoring system have been introduced.

For reference: these activities are being implemented in accordance with Presidential Resolution No. PP-120 of April 1, 2026.

Under the established procedure, information on the activities carried out in the regions is submitted to the Agency on a daily basis and consolidated at the national level. This enables continuous monitoring of the “Urgent 40-Day Cleanliness Campaign” and contributes to the effective organization of sanitation and cleanliness efforts throughout the country.
