As you are aware, the Agency for Waste Management and Development of the Circular Economy is carrying out systematic efforts to improve the quality of sanitation services and enhance infrastructure across the regions. In this regard, additional modern equipment is being gradually provided to service operators.
In particular, electric motor scooters and specialized “Foton” waste collection vehicles with a capacity of 8 m³ were delivered to the Urgut and Taylak districts of Samarkand region at the expense of the Agency’s extra-budgetary funds.
The event was attended by the Agency’s leadership, representatives of local authorities, regional departments, and sector specialists.
During the event, Director of the Agency Sharifbek Hasanov emphasized that achieving public satisfaction with sanitation services largely depends on improving the infrastructure conditions of sanitation enterprises, noting that all necessary conditions are currently being created in this direction.
These measures are being implemented in accordance with Protocol No. 53 dated November 11, 2025, issued by the Head of State, which предусматривает the introduction of a one-year pilot project in one district (city) of each region and Tashkent city for the collection of solid household waste from households using motor scooters.
For reference: Over 100 additional units of modern specialized equipment are planned to be delivered to the regions in stages during the current year at the expense of the Agency’s funds.
